What’s your take on SLX the last few days?
Karl, new double and triple etfs are coming out as follows:
BRIL,Daily BRIC Bull 2x Shares
INDL,Daily India Bull 2x Shares
SOXL,Daily Semiconductor Bull 3x Shares
BRIS,Daily BRIC Bear 2x Shares
INDZ,Daily India Bear 2x Shares
SOXS,Daily Semiconductor Bear 3x Shares
Do these make sense for equity only or can options be used for short term without rollover costs killing you?
Just some thoughts.
SLX is a little extended in the short-term like a lot of stocks but I’d be buying on dips.
Robert,
I don’t see why they wouldn’t have the same issues as the rest of the leveraged etfs. However, Direxion funds is coming out with funds that do monthly re-balancing instead of daily re-balancing. On the ETFs though, here is what their site says on the India fund: “The Direxion Daily India Bull 2x Shares seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, of 200% of the price performance of the Indus India Index. There is no guarantee the fund will meet its stated investment objective.”
